Our shift has barely started and we aren’t quite ready to go on the road, but dispatch calls to see if we can take a rectal bleed call just down the street. We look at each other, nod, and take the call.
We get a lot of calls for rectal bleeds, few of them are anything significant – but when people truly have an active gastrointestinal bleed, it can be very bad. Very life threatening. Coasting

On a whim, we decided to go camping. I had been telling the kids that we’d set up the tent in the backyard, but every time we tried, it rained. On Sunday just before leaving for work, I told the kids we’d do it Monday night. Then Sunday night, as I looked at the weather report, and compared it to our calendar, I suggested to my Wonderful Wife that we go camping. She loved the idea!
Because I worked all night Sunday, and had a doctor appointment Monday morning, I arrived home shortly after noon – without having slept for the previous 24 hours. The thought of going camping wasn’t looking quite so appealing – especially since we really didn’t have our act together. It isn’t something we do very often. Read the rest of this entry »
Malware Purged

First of all, I’m sorry if you were infected, or if Google told you my site was unsafe, or if you were missing my grandiose ramblings here! Apparently I picked up some malware.
My first indication came from a friend who sent me a DM telling me that Google was blocking my site because of unsafe content. However, when I went to check it, everything was fine. A couple of days later, another friend told me she too had been alerted to possible malware on my site. Hmmm…. I began to check, but my results were spotty. Read the rest of this entry »
