@Brian, I absolutely meant no disrespect to your profession. Indeed, just last week I heard the old, and quite outdated “ambulance driver” term and wanted to correct them. As I said above, this guy was such an untoward individual, I’ve been wanting to write about him for years!

The majority of bail enforcement agents I’ve encountered take their job, and the law, very seriously.

The description of mean old grizzled bounty hunters is harldy the representative of the men and women of today’s modern bail enforcement agent who are more the picture of a US Marshal’s investigator than that portrayed by the whack-job and WWE character / super-hero Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Dog is flashy. That’s why he’s on television. But the majority of bounty hunters are folks I’d never want to piss off. Still, I’m glad they’re out there – because sometimes life is like a hollywood movie – there does need to be car chases, gunfire, and pursuit to get the truly bad guys.
